Who believes the UK and USA when they say the recent bombing of Yemen has nothing to do with Israel?
Britain and America bombed a number of targets in Yemen a few days ago and claimed that their military action had nothing to do with protecting Israel, which is currently committing genocide on the Palestinian people, and have continuously occupied Palestinian land since its creation in 1948.
It was primarily Britain and America who were responsible for creating Israel and it is these two countries that are responsible for sustaining it ever since. These two countries are directly responsible for enabling Israel to carry out many atrocities including the current genocide. So when Israel is causing hell on earth for the Palestinians, never believe the UK and USA when they make absurd claims and lie about their motives in any political and military actions they take in the Arab world.
We know the Israeli government and its die-hard supporters have a pathological condition called compulsive lying – they do not feel any shame in telling and retelling lies upon lies to the whole world. The truth is no person with an ounce of integrity believes what Israel says. Sadly, anyone who does not join Israel in spreading their lies is often labelled as an enemy of Israel, an antisemite and forced, lobbied and bullied until this person is sacked or removed from public spaces. Israel does this aggressively and openly and it prides itself on distorting public opinion, by bullying public officials, destroying people’s reputation and humiliating its critics. What can you expect from a country that was established on a whole bunch of lies!
While the Israeli government shamelessly lies, it would be hard to accuse Britain and America, the great bastions of democracy, rule of law of lying. I am afraid, these great western nations have been lying for hundreds of years and aggressively pursuing unethical, immoral and corrupt political and economic practices. Their history is soaked with the blood and property of millions of victims from all across the world. From colonial enterprises to the total annihilation of the indigenous people of North America and Australia, from total theft, loot and plunder of the wealth of Indians to illegal wars, invasions and occupation of nations around the world; and from forcible regime changes to propping up dictators and despots – these western nations have done it all and often shamelessly lecture the rest of the world about the merits of democracy, honesty and integrity.
When my country, Britain, and its government points fingers of blame at other nations for violence and corruption, they forget their own history of brutal repression of people around the world including the catastrophic outcome of colonialism, barbaric slaughter of innocent people during the Crusades and the recent wholesale destruction and massacre of thousands of people in Iraq and Afghanistan. We should never forget the industrial scale slave trade that Britain professionalised and exploited, and the ill-gotten money from the slave trade that built the rich tapestry of Great Britain and laid down its foundations for economic prosperity and dominance. Britain has no moral high ground to lecture anyone about global democracy, international law or human rights.
They forget their own role in aiding and abetting illegitimate regimes around the Middle East for decades and this policy continues to this day. These regimes regularly slaughter their own people, incarcerate, torture and execute them, curtail people’s freedom and steal the wealth of the people to fund their opulent and decadent lifestyle. Let me point to a few modern-day realities to illustrate my point.
Who has enabled the corrupt Al-Saud family to remain in power for so long in Saudi Arabia?
Who has supplied lethal weapons to the corrupt and evil dictator General El-Sisi of Egypt who has assumed absolute power and economic control of the people’s wealth?
Who has provided intelligence to the Algerian military junta for decades to remain in power and butcher the opposition?
Who has provided arms to the nasty factions in Libya to fight a bloody civil war?
Who has remained silent and watched while the Syrian butcher Asad carried out massacres and the displacement of millions of people?
Who has been signing secret agreements with rogue regimes to supply gas and oil in return for political and military support?
The truth is, it has been the west that has created and sustained economic and political chaos in the Middle East, North, East and Central Africa. If it was not for the support of the west, these illegitimate regimes would not last even a day in power and would not find even a rat’s hole to hide in. Why does the west shamelessly sustain these scum-like regimes?
The answer to all the above questions is that the western nations including Britain, France, Germany, Netherlands and the USA have been at the heart of creating the greatest global turmoil and chaos for centuries. They do not like the fact that they can no longer control or steal the wealth of other nations. They do not want these nations, their former colonies, slaves and subjects, to be totally independent, successful and powerful. The white European peoples’ nostalgia of supremacy still lingers on and with this mindset, both consciously and unconsciously, they simply cannot accept the black, brown, non-Christian and non-white people of the world to ever be their equal.
Palestine and Ukraine are two glaringly obvious example of the deep-rooted racism and contradictions that exist in the western world and dominates their global political discourse. Ukrainians, who are blonde and blue eyed with white European heritage, have enjoyed total support from the west in their right to defend themselves when invaded and occupied by the Russians. However, Palestinians who have been living under occupation and brutal repression for over seventy-five years officially and over a hundred years since the Balfour Declaration, are not given the same right to defend their land and property from the invaders. Ukrainians are celebrated as heroes and freedom fighters while Palestinians are condemned as terrorists.
Why do we witness this double standard? It is because of the deep-seated racism that dominates the western mindset. Ukrainians are offered military assistance, financial aid and open border policy with instant assistance in any western country but the Palestinians are not even considered human enough to be allowed to break out of the concentration camp Israel has created and imposed on them. The occupiers have become the bedfellows of the west, directing policies, influencing public opinion and manufacturing false consensus. All the while the western world, its governments, media and public institutions have made Israeli occupation totally possible.
Western governments did not stand on the sidelines and watch the Russian government’s genocidal policies in Ukraine, they worked tirelessly to prevent it from escalating, whereas the western governments became enablers of the Israeli government’s genocide by supplying it with weapons, political cover and economic bailout. In fact when South Africa presented its case against Israel in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) Britain, USA and many of their allies have done everything possible to defend Israel and gaslight the overwhelming evidence of genocide. This hypocrisy has shown the blatant disregard for the Palestinian people’s basic human rights. It has also demonstrated to the whole world that the west is morally bankrupt and does not have the human capacity or conscience to be consistent.
Therefore, when the UK and USA say its recent bombing raids on Yemen had nothing to do with Israel we know they are lying. It has everything to do with protecting Israel because, the Houthis started attacking the ships in the Mediterranean after October 7 and they have primarily attacked vessels they suspect of belonging to Israel. Why would the USA send its ships thousands of miles away from its own territory to this region and engage in attacks against Yemeni targets?
According to the Houthi rebels who control this area the Red Sea strait along Yemen it is safe for all ships except Israeli ships and they will continue attacking them as long as Israel continues its attacks on Gaza. America and Britain are there to solely defend Israeli ships from attacks. It is totally outrageous that our leaders are now crying foul about how civilian lives and ships in that part of the sea must be protected but have done nothing to protect the 30,000 innocent Palestinian lives that have been mercilessly snuffed out, 300,000 homes that have been destroyed and hospitals, schools and places of worship that have been targeted.
According to these shameless leaders, Israel is allowed to commit carnage, ethnic cleansing or genocide but Palestinians are not allowed to defend or protect themselves. Anyone who stands to defend Palestinians is equally vilified, threatened and even attacked. Protecting Israel is their only mission, so if Palestinians have to be killed in the process, let them be killed, they are the collateral damage worth paying for the western world’s political and economic interests.
Most of the western leaders are lying through their teeth, and this status quo will remain unless we, the ordinary people of the world, rise up and challenge the tyranny of shameless, corrupt and morally bankrupt politicians, media and establishment. We need to unite and change the world.
