Summit for Support: Climb Mount Snowden to Change Lives This June

A charity is calling on adventurous spirits and big-hearted change-makers to take part in a thrilling and purposeful challenge: climbing Mount Snowdon.
This isn’t just a physical test; it’s a gruelling mission. Dubbed the ‘Summit for Support’ and organised by Life Care the charity, this event invites fundraisers to climb one of the UK’s most iconic peaks, not just for the thrill, but to support children and widows in need.
Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, stands in the Snowdonia National Park. With its rugged trails and breathtaking views, Snowdon is the perfect location for a charity challenge of this scale.
Climbers will get the chance to experience nature in its raw beauty while raising funds for a great cause. Set for June 3, 2025, the event will see hundreds lace up their boots, tighten their backpacks, and begin the ascent.
It’s not just a climb—it’s a moment to rise physically and morally to support those in vulnerable circumstances.
At the heart of this challenge is compassion. Life Care is committed to providing support to children and widows who are often left without a safety net. Every step taken up Snowdon represents a step towards hope, dignity, and opportunity for those who need it most.
Participants will be raising funds with a target of £500 each, all of which will go towards Life Care’s humanitarian projects.
This event is open to anyone aged 18 and over. Everyone is welcome, from experienced hikers to first-time trekkers, all that’s needed is determination. The event is also a brilliant opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals from all walks of life who share a passion for giving back.
“As part of the Life Care holistic approach to charity work, it is our mission to cater to the needs of the holistic being—providing services for their seven aspects: spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, time management, wellbeing and so on,” said Fakharul Islam, one of the organisers. “We launched the Mileage Masters walking and hiking project in Oldham. This is a group focused on getting members from the South Asian community active, all the while slowly encouraging them to get involved in charity work in their locality by being part of Life Care’s work.
“South Asian communities face some of the worst cases of diabetes and high cholesterol, and this initiative is to create a sense of mental wellbeing as well as the physical—to get active in mind, body and spirit. So this event in June for ‘Summit for Support’ is just the start, and more initiatives are to come.”
Getting involved is simple. There’s a £50 entry fee, and participants are encouraged to raise at least £500 in sponsorship.
For those who can’t make the climb, there are still plenty of ways to support the cause—sharing the event, donating to participants, or simply spreading the word about Life Care’s vital work. For more information, visit lifecareaid.org or reach out via WhatsApp at +44 7872 122510.
